20/20: The most outstanding papers from 20 years of MW

20 Editors select top papers from 20 years of MW proceedings for an #MWXX anniversary e-book

Hindsight is 20/20, so they say – and the illumination of the backwards glance is even more evident when we review the evolution of technology and museum practice. As we approach our 20th year of Museum and the Web conferences, 20 guest editors have volunteered to select the papers from past proceedings that stand out to them in terms of impact in the year they were first published, and resonance today. As they work through the MW Bibliography, our editorial group will share their picks and thoughts in the comments section of this page.

Authors and others from the MW community are also invited to chime in. What would you select as the most important papers from 20 years of Museums and the Web for you? You’ll need an MW profile to contribute (free; if you’ve ever registered to attend and MW conference or contribute to the MW community forum, you can use those login credentials). We look forward to hearing from you!
