This paper will discuss the possibilities for individuals outside of the institutional structure to contribute to the community of Museums and the Web. The World Wide Web offers opportunity for anyone with minimal technical skills, but abundant dedication, to create a site that effectively expresses their interests. This fundamental principle of the Web will be illustrated by the deconstruction of a virtual museum of art developed by an amateur in his spare time.
