Abstract: | Concept maps are a useful component of online exhibits, as they help meet the needs of multiple learning styles and provide an innovative way to visualize information. SpicyNodes? radial mapping engine improves upon previous concept mapping tools and mimics the way that people look for things in the real world. It fills current voids in how people find information on-line, and presents complex topics in a way that invites exploration and triggers creative thought. SpicyNodes is being adapted to work with emerging hardware and software that supports portability, multi-touch, and gestures. |
