Apply to be a Community Rep for the Digital Public Library of America!

We are now accepting applications for our fourth class of DPLA Community Reps.  The application will close on Friday, February 19, 2016.

What is the DPLA Community Reps program?

In brief, we’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers who are willing to help us share the Digital Public Library of America with their local communities through outreach activities or support DPLA by working on special projects. A local community might be your institution, a professional network, or another group of folks who you think might be interested in DPLA and what it has to offer.

The time commitment for reps is small–we ask that reps participate in an introductory webinar, keep in touch with DPLA staff via email, and host 1-2 outreach activities a year.  There is a lot of flexibility in what these outreach activities might look like: hosting a workshop or presentation for colleagues in your district, presenting at a conference, or collaborating on an event with other reps in your area.  DPLA staff will work with you one-on-one throughout the year to send you outreach swag, presentation materials, and help support your outreach projects.

If you have any questions, there’s an online information session next Tuesday, February 9 at 5pm ET which you can register for here: https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/6163398562348944129
