EFL Associates is assisting the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art (www.nelson-atkins.org) in Kansas City with the search for its first Chief Information Officer (CIO) Reporting to the museum’s Director and CEO, Julián Zugazagoitia, the CIO will serve as part of the senior leadership team. S/he will initially manage a team of eight and will serve as both a technology strategist and hands on “do-er,” ensuring the effective implementation of technology to deliver the mission, support staff, operate the institution and enhance connections with constituents throughout the region and the world.
Candidates should possess:
• Ten or more years in a lead IS role, managing process, technical projects and other solution-driven initiatives.
• Three or more years of direct management of a major IT operation, along with a history of working across functions and departments to support strategic business goals.
• Substantial exposure to in-house and shared or outsourced systems, multiple hardware platforms, and integrated information and communications systems.
• An ability to develop collaborative relationships with a variety of business leaders, constituents and stakeholders.
