The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County is seeking a Digital Product Manager for our Digital Strategy department.  The Digital Product Manager works closely with the Chief Digital Officer at the Natural History Museum. It is an exciting time as we embark on new journeys of becoming a museum of, for, and with L.A.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • This position is responsible for managing the implementation of a variety of digital initiatives, in line with the institution’s overarching digital strategy, with the goal of creating accessible, engaging, and relevant experiences for our visitors (online and on-site). The Digital Product Manager will play a key role in establishing and maintaining a product roadmap, product requirements and processes in order to strengthen NHMLAC’s digital content and commerce presence and offerings.

  • The position is responsible for defining product requirements for the NHMLAC websites, ticketing and ecommerce initiatives, and partnering with internal and external stakeholders to prioritize and execute against these requirements, building and evolving an actionable

  • This position supervises the Web Development team and reports to the Chief Digital Officer as we continue to build out the digital team.

  • This position will drive product strategy for initiatives including but not limited to: website development, CMS/content management efforts, DAMS, commerce/ticketing.

This position has the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

  • 3-5 years experience in digital product management and knowledge of various digital delivery platforms.

  • 2+ years experience managing/developing others or leading teams

  • Experience with SQL, data analytics, A/B testing methodologies, and ecommerce platforms.

  • Technically proficient in website content management systems (Drupal preferred), project management and collaboration tools (Asana, Slack, G-Suite, Zoom), and Adobe Creative Suite; familiarity with SEO best practices.

  • A valid California Driver License and Personal Automobile Liability Insurance or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation needed to carry out job-related essential functions.

  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends, when necessary.
