The Department of Collection Information & Access at The J. Paul Getty Museum seeks a talented Software Developer to support the management, organization, origination, and delivery of its collection data and assets to both internal and external digital platforms. The Developer will join a team in creating and enhancing modern systems and toolsets engineered to serve data and rich media to current and near-horizon mobile and in-gallery platforms, and help create forward-looking and engaging experiences derived from those assets. Toolsets created by the Developer will be critical to key institutional digital documentation and dissemination initiatives, and reach large internal and external audiences with relevant content, collection data, and digital assets.
Under close supervision, executes specific software life cycle tasks, including process and requirements analysis, system design, programming, developing, implementing, testing, modifying, troubleshooting and maintaining computer programs. Works on systems of small to moderate size and complexity, or segments of larger systems.
This is a full-time, one-year limited term position located at the Getty Center.
