The Walker Art Center seeks a full-time creative, experimental, and cross-platform Front End Interactive Developer to help push boundaries and make amazing things. This role is a part of the team behind our award-winning website, walkerart.org, as we set out to create the next generation of mobile, responsive, and touch capable platforms for content and education. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a passion for art, design, and technology.
The successful candidate will be open to collaboration with a playful approach but professional demeanor and the ability to wear multiple hats to support a diverse portfolio of work. The candidate should also be comfortable working with practical software development tools and workflows, such as TDD and git, Basecamp, wiki, the command-line, and task automation through scripting. New Media development is done on Macs, however the Walker as a whole is a mixed-platform environment.
Salary in the upper 60’s/low 70s DOE, excellent benefit package, Walker membership and museum discount, and the opportunity to work alongside talented, dynamic people.
