Role
As Lead Exhibit Technician, you will be reporting to the Manager of Design, Production & Operations. Your primary role will be to coordinate and supervise the Exhibit Technical team. This versatile team is responsible for performing a wide variety of work required in preparing galleries; developing, and installing exhibit components of various scales; maintaining exhibits; and decanting and disassembling exhibits once closed.

You will lead the team through the implementation, maintenance and disassembly of visitor experiences (primarily exhibitions) of varying scales. This involves handling a range of technical functions such as fabricating exhibit components (carpentry, painting, metalwork); maintaining AV hardware (screens, projectors, sound systems, and related media players); setting up exhibit lighting; repairing simple mechanical and/or low voltage electrical devices; installing exhibits (cases, plinths, positioning objects, etc.); and finishing walls/galleries.
