Learning Activator – Royal Alberta Museum

The Royal Alberta Museum (RAM) is the largest museum in western Canada and one of the top museums in Canada. Located in the Arts District in downtown Edmonton, we collect, preserve, research, interpret, and exhibit objects and specimens related to the heritage of Alberta’s people and natural environment.

As a key department of the Royal Alberta Museum, the Learning team’s purpose is to facilitate accessible, meaningful, human-centered experiences to unlock Albertans’ capacity for connection, empowering them to act as stewards of our environment and communities.

Do you love making meaningful connections between themes and the public? Are you experienced in unlocking the story behind an artifact with storytelling to create “aha” moments and engaging experiences for all types of audiences?

As the Learning Activator, you will ensure visitors and program participants at the Royal Alberta Museum (RAM) unlock meaningful connections to the objects and stories within. This is achieved through the delivery of immersive programs (both facilitated and self guided) and world-class experiences.

In this role, you will work directly in the galleries/programming spaces of the Museum, ensuring RAM’s spaces are lively and relevant with a diverse range of education and public programming events, hands-on demonstrations, or guided tours.
