The Portland Art Museum has been awarded a grant from the Samuel H. Kress Foundation for a 16-month paid, full-time fellowship position in museum interpretation beginning summer 2014. The Fellow will work directly with the Interpretive Media Specialist and the Curator of European Art. We are currently seeking candidates with a background in art history who also have a strong, demonstrated interest in technology, museum education, and emerging interpretive strategies. The Fellow will contribute his/her time to help realize a special exhibition digital gaming project, co-curate an Object Stories exhibition, and develop an in-gallery digital experience for a newly conserved work in the Museum’s permanent collection.
