Senior Photographer
Schedule: Full Time, 35 hours/week
Pay Rate: $100,659/year – $104,170/year
Reporting to the Director of Collections Information and Access, the Senior Photographer is responsible for producing images and managing imaging operations, each in alignment with the museum’s strategic priorities and goals of the Collections Information and Access (CIA) department and the Collections, Exhibitions and Design (CED) division. The Senior Photographer creates, archives, and delivers images of exceptional quality of artworks, exhibitions, people, and museum activities. They oversee effective and forward-looking imaging operations, manage photo studio spaces, and train, support, and supervise the photo studio team. The Senior Photographer strategizes the best outcomes for the museum’s imaging needs by advancing and managing methodologies, capabilities, services, and facilities for imaging in ways that reflect extensive, in-depth knowledge and understanding of advanced photography and imaging principles and best practices. Working collaboratively with colleagues across CED, Curatorial, Marketing + Communications, Education and Community Engagement, the Senior Photographer is key in realizing the creation and use of images for collections stewardship, collections access, and dynamic public programming.
