Software Engineer at the Yale Center for British Art

The Yale Center for British Art at Yale University is seeking a software engineer.  The engineer will contribute to the Center’s technology program, which includes supporting open access to collections online through the application of linked data standards, the development of software in support of research initiatives, and the migration of the Center’s collection search and online exhibition sites to new platforms. The engineer will be expected to engage in community development of software such as Blacklight, Spotlight, and Mirador, and to develop fluency in data standards relevant to the cultural heritage community, including the CIDOC-CRM, International Image Interoperability Framework (IIF), and LIDO. The position offers significant opportunities for creative collaboration with curators and staff in the design and development of new applications and features. The engineer will also be expected to represent the Center and its technology initiatives at conferences and events.
