The Interpretation, Research, and Digital Learning team in the Department of Education at The Museum of Modern Art, New York, is seeking the first Volkswagen Fellow for Digital Learning, a two-year position with potential to renew or extend. The fellow will play an integral role in fostering online communities and developing innovative approaches to digital engagement and learning in the Museum’s free, Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) on Coursera, and on other free channels such as moma.org, MoMA’s YouTube channel, and Khan Academy. MoMA’s MOOCs provide learning experiences with photography, modern and contemporary art, design, fashion, abstract painting, and museum education, and reach more than 1 million learners from over 250 countries and territories.
The fellow will work closely with the Director and Associate Educator of Interpretation, Research, and Digital Learning. They will also collaborate with others, including Education and curatorial staff, and members of the Creative Team, including video and audio producers and the MoMA Magazine team.
