The Ashmolean is looking for a Web Content Editor to join our Audiences and Online Engagement team. The team champions an audience-focused approach across the Museum and is tasked with growing visitor engagement, loyalty and revenue, and creating a multi-channel audience engagement strategy for the Museum.
The Web Content Editor is a vital and exciting role with responsibility for overseeing the Ashmolean Museum’s website, as well as for writing and editing content, designing pages and editing media. The role encompasses website and CMS management, support of website users, management of SEO and UX, analysis and insight, copywriting, and image and media editing. You will be working on the communication of a wide range of information, campaigns and projects.
You will be analytically-minded and comfortable using a range of digital tools, with experience of website maintenance and an understanding of SEO and UX. You will be creative and an excellent all-round communicator with the ability to write in an engaging way, writing to suit different audiences while working within editorial guidelines and policies. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role.
