Abigail Gilmore


Dr. Abigail Gilmore is Senior Lecturer in Arts Management and Cultural Policy and part of the Institute for Cultural Practices at University of Manchester. Her research concerns the organisation of local cultural policy, evaluation and participation and involves collaborative initiatives with cultural partners which inform teaching, knowledge exchange and public engagement. Current projects include: AHRC Connected Communities ‘Understanding Everyday Participation – Articulating Cultural Values’ - http://www.everydayparticipation.org. and AHRC Research Network Beyond the Campus: Higher Education and the Creative Economy - http://www.creative-campus.org. She leads the Research partner team on the NESTA/Arts Council England/AHRC Digital R&D Fund for the Arts project, ‘Culture Counts’ - http://www.culturemetricsresearch.com.
