Aria Dean is Social Media Coordinator at The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles. A recent graduate of Oberlin College, Dean previously directed Storage, a gallery and performance space. She and her co-director curated a year of programming focused on art, digital technologies, and the social, featuring lectures, readings, and works from artists and curators such as Hannah Black, Rozsa Farkas, Devin Kenny, and Amalia Ulman. She also served as Director of Communications for Exhibition Initiative and founded Don't Unplug Me: Women in Experimental Media Week, an event and lecture series featuring Martine Syms, Juliana Huxtable, Jennifer Chan, Junglepussy, and Casey Jane Ellison. She is a Mellon Mays Research Fellow and contributing editor at Topical Cream Magazine, a NYC-based online platform that focuses on women in fashion, art, and technology.
