Arturo Colorado Castellary


Arturo Colorado Castellary is Professor of Visual Art Theory and History in the Departement of Audiovisual Communication of the Complutense University of Madrid from 1988. Ph. Dr. by University of Alcalá. He was Rector of the SEK University of Segovia (2002-2006). rnExpert in Hypermedia and Digital Culture, he is the Co-Director of the Complutense Research Group “Museum I+D+C” and he was Co-ordinator of Spanish Network and “Identify Broadband Pilots Workpackage” of “E-CultureNet, European Network of Centres of Excellence for Research and Education in Digital Culture”.rnHe is author of several books, like “The Murals by José maría Sert” (New York, 1985), “El Museo del Prado y la Guerra Civil” (Museo del Prado, 1991), “Hipercultura visual, el reto hipermedia en el arte y la educación” (Madrid, 1997), “Éxodo y exilio del arte” (Madrid, 2008). rnHe is the Director of the International Conference CULTURTEC, organised in 1998, 2000 and 2002, and of the International Conference “Patrimonio, Guerra Civil y Posguerra” organised in the Prado Museum (2010). rnVisiting Researcher in the University of California in 1995-96 (“Art, Education and Hypermedia”), Visiting Scholar in Purdue University in 1997 (“Hypermedia, Art and Literature”) and Visiting Researcher in the Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro in 2012 (Digital Culture in Spain and Brasil).
