Benjamin Walbrook

Benjamin Walbrook is an art museum professional: a creative producer, director and sound and music artist based in Melbourne Australia. He collaborates with artists, designers, educators and storytellers to build immersive audio-visual encounters that encourage creative social interaction, reflection and evoke heightened emotional experiences. Benjamin has a professional background in digital media design with more than 10 years experience as Senior Producer at the National Gallery of Victoria, directing and producing picture, sound, music and interactive experiences for gallery installations, documentary film production and digital art commissions. In a continued effort to explore the potential relationship between artist and audience, image and sound, and architecture and acoustics, Benjamin is pursuing a practice led research program in the faculty of Art, Design, and Architecture (MADA) at Monash University, Melbourne. His research explores immersive digital spaces and narrative structures through a collaborative art practice. Central to this practice is the creative application of sound and music and the playful interaction between shape, colour, form and texture. Benjamin holds an honours degree in Media Arts from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), Melbourne Australia.rn
