Cameron is co-manager of Victorian Collections at Museums Australia (Victoria). An advocate of collection digitisation for community collecting organisations, he trains volunteers and staff to capture, conserve and share their collection data.

Cameron is also History and Heritage Consultant at Glen Eira City Council, and has a background in collections management and exhibitions both in Australia and the UK.
