Carla Everstijn serves on the Teaching Faculty in Communication Arts & Sciences at Penn State University. Her areas of specialization are relational communication and media, technology, and society. She holds master’s degrees in interpersonal social work (Indiana University) and library and information science (Kent State University). In addition to extensive experience as a university lecturer, Carla worked for many years as a mental health practitioner. Carla's research interests include misinformation and political communication, collective memory, and affective experiences of cultural heritage.
