I am currently in the second year of my collaborative PhD at the University of Manchester in partnership with the National Museums Liverpool. My research explores how blockchain can be engaged with beyond its current uses as a digital currency and instead be used to cultivate and strengthen relationships between the museum and its different audiences using the museum collection. The key ideas of my research include collective ownership, shared stewardship, shared or open authority, and authenticity. Working with the National Museums Liverpool has offered me the opportunity to implement these theoretical ideas and to explore how museums can engage in digital technologies using a values-led approach. My research interests also include digital repatriation/reciprocation, open access/OpenGLAM and exploring the use of digital technologies in cultural institutions. rnrnrn
