Jim Olson received his B.A. in Art History and Political Science from the College of the Holy Cross and his M.A. in Art History from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He is currently the Director of Integrated Media at the Peabody Essex Museum. He taught a course called Museums and New Media from 2007-2011 in the Tufts University Museum Studies Program. He was the Coordinator of Technology at the Davis Museum at Wellesley College before joining PEM.
