Marco de Niet is the director of the Digital Heritage Netherlands Foundation, a publicly funded knowledge centre and support organisation for cultural heritage institutions. He is also board member of the Dutch Museum Registry and an active member of the Europeana Network. He studied Dutch language and literature, and history of the book. Before DEN he worked at the National Library of the Netherlands.
