Anne Qvale (b.1955) is Special Advisor in the field of museum education at the National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design, Oslo, Norway. She has a cand. philol. degree from the University of Oslo. Her study focused on art exhibition of young artist in midth 20th centry. Through the years 1987-1998 she was the head of a gallery on drawings. During the period 1998 to 2010 she was the Head of Education Department, first in the Norwegian Architectural Museum and later Head of Education, Publication and Public Programme in the National Museum (2004 -2010). She has initiated and lead several research and development projects in the field of museum education, and presented the results at workshops and seminars. Qvale initiated and participated in the joint research project “Exhibnet”, together with InterMedia, University of Oslo (2009-2013). Currently she participates in the research project “IObserve”.
