Alex Capriotti serves as the Director of Marketing and Communications for The Broad, a new contemporary art museum in downtown Los Angeles. In her role, she works to increase awareness of and engagement with the new museum through management of all public communication channels including website, social media, and email communication; press relations; advertising; visitor services; and digital engagement projects. Alex previously served as the Director of Marketing for the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) where she managed projects included the execution of a major marketing campaign for the opening of the Resnick Pavilion and its inaugural exhibitions; communications strategy for the movement and opening of Michael Heizer’s Levitated Mass; and promotion of numerous blockbuster exhibitions and programs. She started her museum career at the Skirball Cultural Center and holds a B.A. in Communication Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles.
