Brendan Matkin


Brendan Matkin is an interaction design researcher, and currently an MA (SIAT) candidate at Simon Fraser University, working with Alissa Antle (College of New Scholars, Royal Society of Canada) on embodiment in tangible interaction. He is the Head of R&D at Tangible Interaction in Vancouver, and sits as a director for Makercube in Surrey. Brendan has a knack for balancing research, tech, art, and design. His current research includes (but is not limited to) embodied values in tangible interaction, colour and shape in tangible interactive systems for children with reading difficulties, sensor network interfaces, distributed interfaces, and physical sketching frameworks.
