Bruce Wyman is currently an independent consultant providing strategic planning, technology implementation, user experience and interface design, and exhibit development services for the cultural heritage sector. Before returning to independent consulting, Bruce was Director of Creative Development at Second Story Interactive Studios. As a key member of the studio's leadership team, the position established new initiatives and creative directions for the studio’s creative output. Previously, Bruce was Director Technology at the Denver Art Museum, overseeing all of the technology of the museum including award winning new media and gallery experiences, infrastructure, and business systems. Prior to Denver, he worked at Nearlife, Inc., an MIT Media Lab spinoff located in Cambridge, MA as Director of Creative Development. There, as part of the core development and management team, Bruce worked on and led a number of technology based experiences that pushed boundaries on-air (Emmy-nominated), on-line, and in-gallery. Bruce started out his museum career at the New England Aquarium in a variety of roles, starting out as a marine biologist and eventually leaving as the Curator of Interactive Technology. He has spent much of the last two decades doing exhibit design, exhibit content development, user experience design, interface design, special technology projects, and Internet development.
