Chance Coughenour, Program Manager at Google Arts & Culture, coordinates cultural heritage preservation efforts through partnerships which employ emerging technology for heritage documentation, education, and global dissemination. Prior to joining Google, Chance participated in archaeological research and heritage documentation projects throughout Europe and the Americas. He is also the co-founder of, a volunteer, crowdsourcing platform for destroyed heritage. He was a Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellow at the Institute for Photogrammetry, University of Stuttgart in Germany.
