David Evans is a Senior Lecturer with the Department of Computing and Mathematics at the University of Derby, where he has been since 2012. Prior to that he worked as a Research Associate and Senior Research Associate in the Computer Laboratory at the University of Cambridge and a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Faculty of Computer Science at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Canada. His PhD is from the University of Waterloo, Canada.rnrnHis teaching and research focuses on operating systems, networks, security, privacy, and means to describe policy and intent via programming languages, protocol design, and system architecture. In particular, he explores how software uses increasing amounts of information about the physical world.
