Herminia Din


Herminia Din is professor of art education at the University of Alaska Anchorage. In 2005, she facilitated a docent-training program using Internet2 videoconferencing technologies for a traveling exhibition in Alaska. From 2007 to 2011, she collaborated with colleagues at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, American Museum of Natural History, California Academy of Sciences, and the de Young Museum to offer blended professional development programs for teachers focusing on art and science integration. Author or co-author of five books and over 20 peer- reviewed journal articles, she has presented at national and international conferences and consulted with numerous organizations. She specializes in distance and online learning for museums, and emphasizes using enhanced media for interpretation. She holds a doctorate in art education from Ohio State University.
