Smithsonian National Museum of American History
Isabella Bruno is an experience designer at Smithsonian National Museum of American History, primarily working in environmental graphics and space. She was most recently at the National September 11 Memorial Museum. Her background in dance (Bachelors in Dance from Alvin Ailey / Fordham University), architecture, and performance led her to pursue a Masters in Exhibition and Experience Design at FIT. Her design practice is particularly focused on acknowledging the power of place and encouraging risk and recovery in design processes. She is guided by the belief that museums are services on offer to the public and should be designed for staff and visitor well-being in order to guarantee their perpetuity. She's worked within, without and with organizations large and small.
