Jean Moylan is a 2018-19 National Digital Stewardship Residency for Art Information fellow at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, where she is helping to improve the Museum's institution-wide preservation and access infrastructures for all digital audiovisual assets, including time-based media artworks, digitized archival materials, and newly-generated video content. Jean holds a Master's degree in Library Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a B.A. in Culture and Media Studies from the Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts at the New School. She has worked with audiovisual materials in several capacities over the course of her academic and professional careers, from serving as an assistant editor and archival researcher on documentary films, to digitizing obsolete carriers in the Conservation Department in graduate school. Before receiving her MLS, Jean prepared a collection of long-form video interviews with Latin American filmmakers for online access at the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences' Oral History Projects Department.
