Jean-Luc Minel

Jean-Luc Minel is Full Professor at the University Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense, Director of MoDyCo laboratory, and scientific advisor of TGIR Humanum, a Large Digital Infrastructure in Social Sciences and Humanities. He has been involved in many scientific projects granted by ANR (French National Research Agency) and he is currently the scientific coordinator of a project granted by Stic-Amsud (CNRS, INRIA, French Ministry of Foreign Affairs) which involved three French scientific laboratories (CNRS, INSERM, INRIA) and four Universities in South America. Recently, he has focused on the role of text-mining tools in the Linked Open Data (LOD) which can provide a new way to apprehend the complexity of comparing large numbers of texts. This kind of approach combines linguistic engineering, knowledge engineering and communicating knowledge.rnHe currently leads the project "Designing, Repositories and Digital Culture" of the consortium "Passés dans le présent" which involves three museums, two librries and six research centers.
