Marsha Semmel

Career as curator, educator, and director in several museums, including The Taft Museum (Cincinnati), the B'nai B'rith National Jewish Museum (Washington DC), Conner Prairie (Indianapolis), and Women of the West Museum (Denver). Also deep experience in cultural policy and federal grant making and strategic initiatives, with stints at the National Endowment for the Humanities (1984-1996) and the Institute of Museum and Library Services (2003-2013). Published on museum education, programs and services, 21st century skills in museums and libraries, and museums, libraries and early learning. Former board member of the American Association of Museums, Art Table; current board member of the Smithsonian Early Enrichment Center and the Council of American Jewish Museums.
