Michelle Bertoli, M.A., is Senior Director of Learning at iThrive Games, a nonprofit dedicated to designing and using games in the best interest of teens. She leads iThrive’s education-related strategy and initiatives, ensuring iThrive’s efforts align to best practices in adolescent teaching and learning, social and emotional learning, positive psychology, and positive youth development. Michelle draws on a decade of experience researching evidence-based strategies for building social and emotional skills in youth to determine learning objectives across programs and products. She also oversees the development of game-based curriculum for teens and professional development offerings for teachers. rnrnMichelle holds expertise in researching and writing about psychology, social and emotional learning, and positive youth development in peer-reviewed outlets, grant proposals, presentations, and educational curricula. She is co-author on several scholarly journal articles as well as two book chapters about emotional intelligence. Michelle earned her B.A. from Vanderbilt University and her M.A. from Yale University.
