Trained as a medievalist at the École des Chartes (MA) and Pantheon Sorbonne University (PhD), Matthieu Bonicel has been a curator and the Bibliothèque nationale de France for 10 years. He specialized in digital projects as digital curator at the Manuscripts dept and then Head of Innovation for the whole library. He took part in the original team of several international projects such as the Rose digital manuscripts library (led by Johns Hopkins University) or IIIF (International Image Interoperability Framework, led by Stanford University).rnSince 2018 he is the Head of Publishing and Information technology of Lafayette Anticipations, an Foundation supporting art production in Paris, where he is in charge of the ReSource program, a software initiative aiming at documenting in real time the art making process.
