Meghan Stockdale

The Cleveland Museum of Art

Meghan Stockdale is the Research Analyst in the Office of Research and Evaluation at the Cleveland Museum of Art (CMA). She designs, conducts and interprets a wide range of studies involving current and potential audiences. Her work at CMA includes marketing research and program, technology, and education evaluation. Recently, she has completed a comprehensive evaluation of the CMA's acclaimed Gallery One and iPad app, ArtLens. She firmly believes in the transformative power a culture of evaluation can have on an institution.

Meghan is an active member of the Visitor Studies Association (VSA) and has peer-reviewed for the Visitor Studies Journal. She is also a member of the Committee on Audience Research and Evaluation (CARE), a sub-committee of the American Alliance of Museums (AAM) and the Mixed Methods International Association (MMIRA). She has presented at Museums and the Web Deep Dive (Cleveland, 2013) and at AAM as both a panelist and poster session presenter (Seattle, 2014).

Before joining Cleveland Museum of Art, Meghan earned her BFA from Cornell University in 2009. Her thesis work explored how audiences actively and emotionally engage with art.
