Tommy W. Wilson has served as the Manager of Technology and Visual Media at Fabric Workshop and Museum since July 2016. Prior to that, he served as the Antoinette Westphal Museum Leadership Fellow at The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University in Philadelphia and as Head Curator of The Cotton Museum at The Memphis Cotton Exchange in Memphis, TN. He is currently the project lead for two grant funded projects, one from the Institute of Museum and Library Sciences and the other from the Knight Foundation working with archives and technology integration into museum exhibitions and programming. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honors from The University of Memphis in Memphis, TN and a Masters with Honors in Museum Leadership from Drexel University. He is currently pursuing PhD work in Museum Studies through the University of Leicester (UK) research doctorate distance learning program. His main thesis work is in the uses of technology in museum learning.
