#MWA2014: Museums and the Web Asia 2014

July 23rd 2014, Silver Spring, MD – Museums and the Web is an annual conference featuring advanced research and exemplary applications of digital practice for cultural, natural and scientific heritage. From 7th to 10th October 2014, the conference will be held in Daejeon and Seoul, South Korea, and will include presentations and contributions by leading museum technologists from Asia Pacific, North America, Europe and the Middle East.

Formed by professionals from around the world, the MW community has been meeting since 1997 and its annual North American conference is the largest in the museum technology field. For the 3rd year in a row, Museums and the Web is convening in Asia to extend and connect its lively community globally. Over the last two years, the conference has been held in Hong Kong and Beijing, featuring the leading edge of digital practice in Asian cultural institutions and from around the world. This year’s appointment with #MWA2014 in South Korea marks a further expansion of the global network of museum innovators and raises the bar for museum practice everywhere.

#MWA2014 offers a range of learning opportunities and many ways to contribute, present and discuss. The conference program includes pre-conference workshops, panels, lightning talks, formal papers, informal networking, museum project demonstrations and vendor exhibits, how-to sessions and crit rooms.
